"The Klinaklini area is probably one of the most beautiful areas on this earth. The nature is simply breathtaking. A hunting trip in this area will be a memory for life, even for experienced, international hunters. We came for black bears in May 2006, and had a great time. The staff was excellent, and they did everything in their power to get us a bear each, and they where really happy for you when you succeeded. I got a good size cinnamon bear, with a really beautiful rug. We came across him when he was feeding on a big meadow at Wheeler bottom. We were able get in to 100 meters, before I took the shot. The bear was much better than I had dared to hope for before we went out, so I was very pleased when we got him. The trophy care was absolutely superb. We did the whole bear without cutting a single hole in the rug."

" Hunting with Klinaklini Outfit is much different to European and African hunts that I have tried.
It feels more civilized although much more remote under more simple conditions.
So you have a feeling that this is real hunting, where nature and not human set the standard with no escape and no excuse. And the nature are so beautifull and so breath taking that you spend more time looking at those pictures than pictures of your trophy. This adventure is much more than hunting and the memory will last for a lifetime."

"My guide and I had just prepared the spike camp, before we started the evening hunt. We crossed Big Meadow aiming for The Keyhole further away, behind a group of trees. No moose were in sight and my guide used an antler to beat the willow trees behind us, he also imitated the cow moose as well as grunted as another bull moose. After a while a large bull moose responded and came out of the trees aiming right at us. At a distance less than 100 meters the kill was made with my cal. 9,3 x 62 rifle. As it was getting late we had to wait until the next day to carry the meat out. Back in the spike camp, my guide and I enjoyed a good meal at the camp fire before a good nights sleep, telling stories from other successful hunts.
Hunting at Klinaklini with John Erickson and the very experienced and skilled guides has been a great adventure for my hunting friends and me and I would be proud to be a friend of theirs. Apart from an amazing scenery with nature dressed in the fall colours, snowy mountains and the boat rides down the river, the four of us, now all successful bull moose hunters, enjoyed the very good organization, great hospitality and good food that Klinaklini Outfit provided during our visit. Although the accommodation was more primitive than we are used to at home, all of us felt comfortable, and the over all experience was even better than they promised or we had expected."

Klinaklini, country wild and speculator with a great camp, good food and guides that think like a moose. Our guide was woods savvy and would challenge the Klinaklini Bull Moose by beating the willow thickets with a pole that a sawmill could cut a 4 x 4 from. Once the bull looking for his challenger, the guide started the cow moose walk with the hunter close behind. At 217 yards with a down canyon breeze the kill was made, the meat secured from the bears and the river navigated back to camp for a night around a blazing camp fire. As twilight fades over the ridges of the Pacific Range hunter and guide perform the ancient moose dance against the orange flames of the alder wood in honor of alces andersoni."

"The hunting territory was extremely remote, rugged and totally wild. Only dedicated, serious, mentally tough, experienced hunters should consider hunting bear in this country. Be prepared to find more bear sign in ten minutes than most hunters see in an entire season. Six days of hunting presented three good opportunities for black bear. It also provided considerable time observing grizzly, moose, deer, and abundant waterfowl. There are cats in the area but you will probably never see them (they are watching you, though). The guide was a true woodsman and really knew his stuff. He was a pleasure to hunt with, and by the end of the hunt you will still want to spend time with him. I think he enjoyed the hunt as much as I did - it was not a job to him, but a way of life. Communication with Klinaklini Outfit was better than I expected, and they provided a better experience than they promised."

"After meeting my hunting companion at Gardermoen airport in Norway, wee started our journey towards what wee both hoped would bee a real wilderness experience with Blackbear hunting. We were not disappointed and everything was better than expected.
The area is just fantastic with majestic mountains and lot of wild game. Our guides, Klinaklini Outfit were very good hunters and we both got our six foot bears after seven days of hunting. The food was excellent cooked by Klinaklini Outfit and has build a nice camp.
The Klinaklini hunting area is just great, don`t hesitate, go there and try.
A lifetime experience."
